Adelaide Ice is the largest Ice manufacturer in South Australia, supplying Regional Adelaide, including Metropolitan Adelaide and the Central Business District. It has been providing first class service by delivering food grade ice in food related market segments. To support demand, Adelaide Ice has established the most modern Ice plant in Australia, which ensures continuous production and sufficient supply of quality ice.
As an integral part of its supply chain, its manufacturing and cold storage plant has an electrical consumption comprising a significant fraction of its expenses. Thus, Adelaide Ice called for VENERGY’s expertise to provide power saving solar systems. They installed a 90 kW PV System in their Regency Park plant. This benefitted Adelaide Ice with more than just electrical savings.
With Venergy, Adelaide Ice was able to install 337 Simax Solar Panels and SMA Inverters. The panels are known to have positive tolerance providing reliable output and a guaranteed tolerance of +3%. It also has high module efficiency of up to 15.5%. Moreover, it is certified to withstand 2400Pa of wind and snow loads of up to 5400Pa, keeping users worry-free at times of harsh weather.
Other than this, SMA inverters are known the undisputed leading inverters in the industry. Adelaide Ice acquired SMA MINI Central to support its solar system. Its technology makes it effective in transforming sun’s energy into electricity, ensuring maximum yields. It also offers a built in Bluetooth device, which allows easy monitoring for operators.
With trusted equipment solicited by VENERGY, complemented with the system’s high manufacturing standards and certified management structure, Adelaide Ice gained confidence that their manufacturing plant will not just save on electrical consumption but will also have undisrupted operations to support South Australia’s demand for quality ice.
