In the early 1990s, Tim Vorbach, the founder of Venergy, first considered solar as an energy alternative for homes and businesses in Australia. However, the economics didn’t quite add up then, and like many great ideas that were before their time, other ventures that were commercially viable took priority.
The idea for a solar company remained in a holding pattern until the 9th June 2009, when the Government withdrew its $8,000 incentive. This is the day other companies became concerned about the viability of the industry and this was the time Tim knew the industry would now proceed based on a long-term sustainable energy strategy, and it was the right time to give life to an idea that started back in the 1990s.
And so Venergy began, committed to establishing itself as a clearly distinguishable, complete energy solutions company.
With an unsteady number of solar providers in the market, Venergy understands you want a solar company you can trust, one that is there when you need it. After all, a warranty is only as good as the company that provides it.
A 2005 ‘Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year’ with experience and success across multiple industries over 28 years, Tim has an established reputation and a track record of success in developing new concepts into long-standing national commercial operations.
As a business founder and Managing Director of four key companies, each and all of these businesses remain in full operation since foundation, entities established 1989, 1994, 2003, and 2009.
