Venergy - Our Beginning

In the early 1990’s Tim Vorbach, Venergy’s founder, first considered solar as an energy alternative source for homes and businesses in Australia. Unfortunately the economics didn’t quite add up and so, like many great ideas that are before their time, other ventures, more in keeping with what was commercially viable during that period took priority.

The idea for a solar company remained in a holding pattern until 9th June 2009, when the Government withdrew its $8,000 incentive. The day other companies became concerned about the viability of the industry, was the very day Tim knew the industry would now proceed based on a sound, long-term sustainable energy strategy, and it was the right time to give life to an idea that started back in the 1990’s.

And so Venergy began, committed to establishing itself as a clearly distinguishable, complete energy solutions-company, based on a gentler energy philosophy.
